[I figure they can deal with these filthy armored bastards, once they make it across the bridge. I dont' really want to melee with anyone in that much armor.]

"To me!! To me, monks!! We fight heathens this day!! For the Glory of the One True God!!" Sinlocah charges to the intersection of the rope bridge and if he gets there first sets up on the far side of the intersection, effectively cutting off the spell casters from the armored goons.

I assume they can only get to Sinlocah one at a time? If so, and if he takes any more damage, Sinlocah will switch with one of the monks at the first opportunity.

[Correct.]

Sinlocah and his monkish contingent charge to the intersection, the bridge thrumming and swaying under their tread. Just beyond the intersection, Sinlocah meets the heathen man who approaches from the north landing; his opponent goes to one knee as he rains down a bruising assault with his mace. Brother Frickus steps onto the eastern section of the bridge, and his opponent barely gets his sword up in time to block a vicious two-handed downswing.

The first missile volley is only marginally effective, Kexy's arrow lightly blooding one of the approaching robed men. However, Bhartec's spell is devastatingly efficacious -- both robed men and all three armored men slump to the planks, unconscious.

[Sam, feel free to describe the "special effects" of your sleep spell.]

[Oh -- Sinlocah did 6 points, Brother Frickus did 4 points, and Kexy did 1 point of damage.]

"Ha Ha! Reckoning!" Lars jumps up and down in his uncontrolled glee, and tries to join the others for the imminent slaughter.

[I think the northern double-doors are probably the heart of the lair. Let's put Sinlocah and his four monks there, to disarm and loot the clerics' persons, perhaps leaving one alive to question about what lies beyond the doors.

As for the fighters, I think Lars and I can slit their throats, and drag them back to the landing. We can then remove their armor and everything of value, and push the bodies into the river below.]

[Ymmas plan sounds good to me, although I personally think we ought drag all the foe back to the landing we came from for any necessary looting or interrogation. Also, once we've got the situation under control, Lars is going to cut one of their eyes out and look it over, to see if he can figure out why they can see in the dark.]

"Perhaps we can disrobe them and wear the vestments ourselves. It could catch further of their kin unawares", Bhartec mentions while slaying the men one at a time (leaving one alive apparently.

[Within a few minutes, you have them dragged back to the southern landing; the only sounds you hear are the rushing of water and the flapping of bats. The robed men wear sigil-embroidered vestments with what appear to be warped, rudimentary versions of Nivatopredic symbols. Beneath their robes they wear boiled leather armor.

How many and which are you leaving alive?]

Having duly brained or exsanguinated his compatriots and launched them into the bosom of the void to a final kerplunk, you set to securing the sole survivor, a gaunt, robed fellow of chalk-white complexion and sunken eyes. This endeavor rouses him from his magically-induced slumber, but the stern presentation of your array of armaments seems to convince him that grudging cooperation, though by no means a certain course, at least holds better prospects than would some more suicidal approach. His hands and feet tightly bound, he regards you sullenly from the floor of the southern landing.

[Sure, why not?]

[3 more suits of plate, some weapons, and whatever lies beyond the double doors from whence the greater contingent of your foes came. Twisted Evil]
