As Lars hangs on desperately for dear life, you can make out the angry gabbling of heathen oota-goota noises from the pair of armored men standing on the bridge, gesticulating at each other and at you, swords drawn.

Kexy's rope sails towards Lars, but falls into the void ... Lars pulls mightily with his sinewy, baboonish arms, and gets a leg up onto the planks, prompting the unensorcelled heathen warrior to begin walking towards him as he clambers back onto the bridge.

The charmed warrior grabs at his comrade's arm -- the pair look in direction of your landing, nonplussed, as Ymmas's bolt whirs by -- finally, the charmed warrior clouts his compatriot mightily on the helm, causing a loud bong to echo through the caverns. The stunned warrior sinks to his knees, and the charmed man kicks him into the darkness.

The charmed warrior begins walking towards Lars.

The man pauses for a moment, waves and salutes, and hollers some gibberish. He continues walking gingerly but steadily towards Lars.

Seeing Lars carefully pulling himself up, Kexy recoils her rope and places it back in her pack.

She will pick up her bow, but not nock any arrows. She will watch the entryways beyond the chasm for signs of movement.

[Sorry, didn't realize I was in a decision-making position yet. Lars is going to drag his ass up and retreat to the landing where the rest of the party is. He's done for today.]

Bhartec runs out onto the bridge, causing it to swing back and forth; Lars is forced to grab onto the rope railing, as is the charmed heathen. The latter smiles tentatively, his brow furrowed, as Bhartec stands between him and Lars. Sinlocah reaches Lars's side; the shaft of the short spear protrudes from the warrior's leg, sunk to the bone.

Another armored warrior steps into the light on the north landing, along with a pair of robed men.
