Sinlocah will occupy the gnoll while his death dealing companion, well... deals some, you know, death. |

Divad says something non-holy, and tries again to cover himself in the brain and bone fragments of the fetid, ugly piece of offal that scratched him. |

Bhartec slinks up upon the gnoll facing Divad; instinctively, the gnoll evades Bhartec's would-be killing blow, but Divad takes advantage of the distraction to whack the thing in the meaty part of its thigh. Limply badly, the gnoll, spitting and hissing, now faces two determined opponents, and begins using its longer reach in a more defensive manner.
Desperately, it feints at Bhartec and, as Divad tries to slide past its guard, switches tack! In an instant, Bhartec looks on disbelieving as the gnoll brings its axe down, hard, on Divad's collarbone and into his chest, spraying gore and cleaving the poor Acolyte's torso nearly in twain. Divad falls to the ground, noisily and messily expiring, as the gnoll tries to get its axehead free.
Kexy is able, momentarily, to dart within the scything arc of her adversary's slicing axe, and her sword jabs into the gnoll's torso, turned partially aside by its sternum. As she attempts to scurry back to a safe distance, the gnoll counterattacks, smashing her in the cheek with the haft of its weapon.
Lars's swing nearly lifts him off his feet as the gnoll frantically sidesteps and works to fend off both attackers.
[The above includes both your and the gnoll's attacks for the 3rd round. Divad was slain, taking 4 points of damage. Kexy was hit for 3 points of damage. All of the gnolls have taken at least some damage, but are obviously dead hard bastards.
Y'all have Initiative for the 4th round.] _________________ The penalty for success is to be bored by the people who used to snub you. |

Lars continues to emit excessive amounts of both glossolalia and violence. |

Sinlocah, seeing the need to get Divad's side and try to help in an futile way he can, is going to go all out in an attempt to end this fight. |

While facing the Gnoll, Bhartec will circle around to Divad pushing his torso with his foot.
"Divad! Divad! groan if your leaving all of your worldly possessions to me!", nudge nudge, "groan!", nudge, kick,"groan Divad, groan!", kick kick.
If seeing an opening, Bhartec leaps on the Gnoll and repeatedly belly-stab it. |

[Bhartec: If stripping my body of its armor and weaponry doesn't lead to a Mexican standoff between the survivors of this combat, I'll be displeased.]

[Goddamnit. I recognized 'Divad' as some kind of anagram of 'David,' but I didn't realize what you were doing with the names.] |

As she stabs at it again with her sword, Kexy curses at the gnoll facing her in an unknown tongue.
[Kexy instinctively barks "I will bathe in your blood for striking me" in Bhlat as she attacks.] |

[Ymmas is exploring the ruins alone, probably with a torch lit, and sees a pitched battle between a pack of gnolls and some folks he knows from the village. There appear to be casualties on each side.] _________________ The penalty for success is to be bored by the people who used to snub you. |

Ymmas closes to within 80 yards, braces his crossbow against the gnarled bough of a convenient tree, and looses a bolt at the nearest gnoll. |

As Kexy utters her Bhlattish imprecation, the gnoll freezes, grimacing. Impressed with her own command of subhuman maledicta, the young elf steps in and slashes her blade across the gnoll's windpipe. It is only after the thing has fallen, gurgling, that she realizes that it has sprouted a quivering crossbow bolt from its earhole.
As Lars hollers and declaims, Sinlocah stalks ever closer, awaiting the opening to strike ... the gnoll stumbles, and desperately slashes back, only to have its shoulder smashed from the socket by Lars's descending flail. Both men leap on the beast and beat upon it until a wet sucking sound emanates from the jellied pulp of its head.
The lone remaining gnoll turns to flee, Bhartec whooping and giggling on its heels. A crossbow bolt hurtles into its path, ricocheting hard off its thick brainpan. As it slips in the mud, blood in its eyes, Bhartec jams his dagger deep into the wretch's fundament, and with Kexy's aid, sends it gabbling to Hell. _________________ The penalty for success is to be bored by the people who used to snub you. |
