Ymmas drops to one knee and braces the bout of his crossbow against one of the stout logs anchoring the bridge.

He sees Kexy loose at one of the robed men. "Now there's a damn good idea," he mutters aloud, and aims at the other.

"It's a fight with the other three on the landing for sure!" Ymmas pulls another bolt out of the case, his back against the anchor, his boot in the iron loop at the crossbow's end as he begins winding the bowstring to its maximum tension.

"Pull back to the stairs! Get Lars moving!"

The charmed warrior seems to take the meaning of Bhartec's pantomime well enough, but is obviously flummoxed, and hesitates, alternately shouting gibberish at Bhartec and his compatriots, who reciprocate.

Neither of your missiles finds its mark, but they are not entirely without effect; the two robed men holler at their remaining loyal warrior, who gestures angrily before trotting westward into the darkness. The robed men quickly withdraw to the north.

The charmed warrior stands stupefied for a moment, then shrugs and moves to join Bhartec, as Sinlocah helps Lars limp back to your landing.

Ymmas keeps his crossbow leveled in the direction of the bridge, waiting for the party to carry Lars up the stairs, and to safety.
